Problem: VirtualBox running on Windows 10 with a Windows 10 guest O/S doesn’t display the full screen.

I had this trouble and solved it using the “download guest additions” method.

Solution:
While running Virtual Box with Windows 10 in it:

1) Open the Virtual Box Help, About (fig 01)

2) Get the version of Virtual Box (fig 02)

3) Go to the http://download.virtualbox.com/virtualbox resource folder
4) Click on your version (in my case, 4.3.30) (fig 03)
5) Click and download the VBoxGuestAdditions_4.3.30.iso file (fig 04)
6) It will open exposing the directory inside the ISO.
7) Run the main installer: VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe
8) As it is installing it will change your resolution to the max for your host machine.
